Pulp, paper, and wood, processing centers have an environment with a high presence of dust and/or fibers, multiple complex machines, and chemicals; therefore, they are classified as production centers with a high risk of fire. In these classified areas, only luminaires with a limited surface temperature can be used. LEDs can improve the quality of light and color rendering, reduce maintenance demand and cost, all of these while improving facilities’ safety and enhancing sustainability.
